
Warranty information:
Basic Information
Dragon Off Grid Solar Systems (aka Battery Backup systems, photovoltaic systems, electric generators, etc.) are warrantied for a standard 2 Years from the date the system begins supplying power to the customer. Components under warranty include: power inverters, charge controllers, transfer switches, batteries, wiring and solar panels.
Standard Systems using ALL NEW Components and including lithium batteries are warrantied for a total of 2 Years directly through us.
WARRANTY ON BATTERIES:
Some lithium batteries have an extended warranty that is longer than the direct warranty through us; including the server rack solutions. These warranties are typically 5 years or 10 years (see manufacturer specifications for more information).
If any pre-owned lead acid batteries are provided with the system (clearly identified in the QUOTE or INVOICE) these are warrantied for a period of 1 Year from the start of use of the system. Excessive use (constant full cycling of more than 3 times per week) is excluded from this warranty.
New lead batteries are warrantied for a period of 18 months and excessive use is also not covered under this warranty.
Used Lithium Batteries, solar modules, inverters, charge controllers and other electronics are warrantied for a period of 18 months unless otherwise explicitly noted on the item description or on the sales invoice.
EXCLUSIONS:
Not included in any warranty are accidental damage, misuse, or tampering with equipment and/or adding any major accessories to our system that are not sold by Dragon Off Grid Solar and not intended to be used in conjunction with our systems. Prior approval or notification needs to be established to confirm that adding a new piece of equipment will not void the warranty of Dragon Off Grid Solar Systems. Any equipment that is damaged from being left in the sun (that was not designed for outdoor use) or exposed to excess heat at the fault of the customer will not be included under warranty.

WARRANTY COVERAGE (FOR INSTALLATIONS):
Any defective parts and workmanship will be replaced or updated to return the solar system to full operation as it was designed at no charge for parts or labor.
Full operation includes: Maximum power output available from the inverter and batteries (as a component is expected and also as the system was installed under any limiting factors like breakers or connector limitations), operation under normal conditions (dry location, no direct sunlight and temperatures below 85 degrees and above 35 degrees Fahrenheit), solar power production from all modules and strings, operation of breakers to prevent overload conditions, connectivity and monitoring. Operating systems consistently at temperatures 95F or above will void the warranty.
WARRANTY PROCESSING:
All warranty claims will be processed through Dragon Off Grid Solar and we do not guarantee return of your original unit or one of the exact same specifications; in other words, you may receive an equivalent unit of slight variance that will meet or exceed the power requirements of your intended system and original equipment.
The customer may contact us through text message, email or phone call (connected calls to a representative of ours or left on voicemail). For critical issues involving basic system operation we will provide a site visit upon receiving a service request within 14 days to conduct diagnostics. For non critical issues (example: indicator lights, alarm noises, flickering lights, etc.) Dragon Off Grid Solar reserves the right to schedule or prioritize issues based on urgency and convenience; this may mean you will not receive a resolution to your non-critical issue under warranty. You may still hire us for service for non critical issues that will be charged at our regular rates.
If the cause of a system problem has been determined to be misuse or damage by the customer, we reserve the right to bill you after a service visit or repair is performed if it is determined later the cause of defect was not workmanship or manufacturer defect. We limit this window to send a bill within 30 days after repairs are complete. Failure to pay a past due service bill or cost of the system may cause a future service call to be denied and your warranty to be voided for bills over $300 or over 2% of the total system cost from us (whichever is greater).

GUARANTEED UPTIME:
Dragon Off Grid warranty includes a guaranteed uptime of equipment covered under manufacturer warranties. If a piece of hardware (battery, inverter, charge controller etc.) has a defect determined to be under manufacturer warranty coverage, it will need to be removed and may need to be returned to the manufacturer for a replacement to be issued. For systems where parts are of critical need, Dragon Off Grid will provide a piece of equipment on loan to the customer free of charge. The loaned equipment may be of a different brand and more limiting specifications than original in terms of power output or features. This guarantee only applies to customers within 2 hours of drive time from us and may be subject to drive time fee if outside of our 90 day initial service agreement.
WARRANTY SERVICING (FOR INSTALLATIONS):
If service is required, our BASIC Warranty (included in all purchases as outlined in the rules above) includes two free visits within 90 days of the power systems start of operation (the start is when Dragon Off Grid turns it on for the customer in demonstration of the system functioning). If a system failure occurs within 48 hours of initial power on, this service will not count as part of the two visits.
After 90 days and for up to the remaining 2 year warranty term, we will charge standard drive time rates for warranty service required. For customers farther than 120 minutes away from our headquarters, an extra fee may apply to your visit for attaining service.
NOTE: Drive time hours are calculated via google maps estimates and any actual additional time to reach the physical property location.
Drive time rates may be subject to additional charges depending on road conditions, seasonal related difficulties and otherwise such as if an all wheel drive vehicle or raised truck is required to reach the customer location.

OUT OF AREA AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS:
For customers with systems installed for mobile applications (RVs, Vans, Tiny Homes and other portable kits) used remotely and out of our reasonable access area (3 hour radius from our headquarters); we will be unable to service any warranty claims in person. We will do our best to consult and troubleshoot any fixable issues through calls, text messages, emails and correspondence with the manufacturer when applicable.
For warranty issues related to parts, we will refer you to the manufacturer for processing. And you may need to seek local support from a qualified electrician or off grid solar systems specialist.
